Office of Information Technology (OIT)

The Office of Information Technology is committed to helping the college students, faculty and staff achieve their goals by providing the kind of support needed to each individual.

Becker has a Central Help Desk (CHD) which is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.  We encourage you to call the Central Help Desk for all IT-related problems, questions or concerns (from on campus, call 1999, from off campus call 508-373-1999 or 800-630-8986).

So rather than guessing who the right person in IT is to call for a problem, or taking a chance at catching them at their desk, the best option is to call the Central Help Desk first, every time.  Calling CHD first increases the odds your problem will be resolved with just one call.

Central Help Desk technicians will attempt to solve or route problems appropriately and quickly.  The only issues they will defer are issues regarding personally purchased hardware.  If it turns out your problem is due to a hardware issue in a system purchased personally – they will ask you to call your hardware vendor’s (e.g. Dell, Apple, HP) support and help desk.
